My name is Sheryl Spillers, I am owner/operator of
A Light Touch of Wellness, an Energy practitioner and
Reiki Master.
I attended an introduction to Reiki, in 2000, when a friend
of mine encouraged a group of us to attend. I went under
protest,“kicking and screaming . . . no this is not for me".
From the very moment the class began and stories were
shared I realized it was definitely for me, but I was not
sure how it all worked. In time I would figure it out and I
will share that with you later on.
In the first class we started with self healing and became
level a one practitioner. At that time I had a torn meniscus
in five places and surgery had been scheduled. My lower
back problems continued but I had noticed some pain relief
from using Reiki and began using Reiki daily.
Reiki healed the tears in the meniscus but I did not know
that until after the surgery when the Doctor explained that
there was nothing for him to repair. My lower back no
longer required surgery. Those experiences confirmed to me
just how powerful Reiki is.
On a separate occasion I had fallen and bruised myself and
had three saucer sized bruises that were a deep maroon in
color. I went to the doctor to be sure I had not broken any
bones or reinjured my back. Friends commented on the size
of the bruises and that they were noticeably fading away in
the shape of my hand (where I had been able to reach) in
record time and without turning yellow.
Energy healing is available to everyone of us. Reiki is
not a religion nor has it any religious affiliation and yet I
have been asked if I thought it was an activity in opposition
to my faith. It has never felt like it was in opposition.
I believe that everything works synergistically and comes to
us at the right time. You do not need to believe in God to do
this kind of work and yet if you do, it may bring you as it
did me, into a closer relationship with God, myself, family
and friends.
Energy work is very peaceful and meditative. During sessions,
I feel I am a conduit to the energy for healing and in service
to what works for best for the client.
This is a small in-home business and open by appointment
only.
The fee is $40.00 per hour for energy work and Reiki,
and magnetic roll-out massage $50.00.
Workshops vary in price and will be posted as scheduled.
